Grade II Listed Country House

Tremore Lodge is a charming Grade II Listed former estate lodge, set within the rural Cornish landscape and enjoying expansive countryside views. Historically linked with Lanhydrock Estate, the building dates from the late 19th Century and originally served as a formal entrance lodge commissioned by the Henwood Family.

This project adopted a conservation first strategy, focusing on the repair and reuse of the existing buildings, while carefully integrating new interventions. Alterations and extensions were designed to respect the lodge’s architectural hierarchy, scale and materiality, ensuring its historic character remined the defining feature.

This project demonstrates how heritage sensitively designed extensions can enhance functionality without comprising on the significance of the listed building.
