Stratton House

Constructed in the late 18th Century, Stratton House has long overlooked Penryn River and the Carrick Roads, observing years of passing ships connecting Penryn and Falmouth. Located within a Conservation Area, the grand, classical, semi-detached Georgian villa was designed to front the river and historically formed a large walled garden setting including coach house and stabling.

Our works continued from concept to completion, backed by a historic analysis of past alterations to support numerous sensitive extensions, as well as targeted internal and external alterations to enhance and modernise the property to benefit of the client’s. Features included a modern spiral stair linking to a basement wine store, a snug extension, a custom fitted library and an external terrace to provide a modern interpretation of the site’s architectural character.
